With over three hundred retailers and service businesses, among which are Myer Department Store, Target, K-Mart, Cole’s, and Toys “R” Us, Pacific Fair is the ideal place in which to find favourite fashion names; books sellers; music, ommunications equipment, and video vendors; the largest pharmacy on the Gold Coast; and jewelry and accessories boutiques. More utilitarian services include banks, a Post Office, film developers, and hairdressers.

For those whose tastes tend to the unusual, Pacific Fair provides both an open air and arcade shopping experience; the entire complex covers an astonishing seventeen stream-fed hectares. In good weather patrons can amble along cobble-paved, tree-shaded walkways, and interrupt their shopping for a restaurant meal alongside one of the Gold Coast’s trademark waterways. There’s an International Food Court as well.

Also overlooking the waterway are Pacific Fair’s Play Park, a mini-theme park with fiberglass whales, sea serpents, and other magical diversions to entertain three-to-nine-year olds. A twelve-screen Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinema makes the picture complete.

Pacific Fair has more than 5500 car parks, over 3000 of them covered, and is adjacent to a main bus interchange which accommodates local hotel shuttles.
