Reasonable hotel. Not too pricy, cleanliness is okay. But you have to bring your luggage through the steep stairs which is a concern. Rooms are small but with necessary bedding and other facilities.

second most expensive place of our 4 week stay in west europe, and without a doubt the tiniest, most uncomfortable room. the room was barely big enough to fit the small double bed, and the modest bathroom was nearly the same size as the room. The floor of the room was not level, and gave me dizzy spells. The bed was very hard. The room had only one powerpoint (incl bathroom), which was what the tv was plugged into. There was certainly no minibar as advertised on the front page. There was WiFi access, but this was so weak as to not work in the rooms - you had to use the 'lobby' or the stairwell. However, the location was wonderful, being so close to Bastille and the Metro (but don't make the mistake of thinking that Charonne would be the closest stop, because it's on the same street- it's not)
