Britannia Country House Hotel Manchester Guest Reviews
Arrived at 9am after an overnight flight from Boston. Staff was nice enough to let us check in very early and clean up. Room was good size and clean. Bar was full and fun on Saturday night. 3am wake up call came right on time. Restaurant food was good. Will definitely stay again.

One must book to the shuttle to the hotel day before using it - how can you do this if you come outside UK? I phoned the hotel from the airport and they sent me "shuttle" which cost me 10 GBP after waiting an hour - I'd better take the bus! Location is very good, about 20 min on bus from center of Manchester. Room is clean and comfortable, but the room service waked me up every day at 8 am to clean! WiFi - "free", but don't work in rooms, sometimes doesn't work in lobby too, even though I asked them to fix it for 2 days! Fitness costs 4 GBP per entry. Overall - good to stay 1-2 nights, not more, just to sleep & go, Not for businessmen, because wifi is lausy.

Stayed at the Brittania Country House for the first time, we drove from London for my dad's surprise 70th birthday. On arrival we were really impressed, the standards were excellant, staff very polite and helpful, rooms very nice good size and. We also made use of the spa facilities. Will definitely be going back.

I stayed in room 460 I booked a family room. The room inside was not big enough. Jacuzzi does not works. The most annoying thing was this horrible stair ramp inside the room which cuts the room into half and is so low that me and my partner got hit by it several times when trying to go near the table for dinning. Room is dull left side lamp was not working. The bed mattress is inclined downward on the right hand side my partner kept on slipping off it and where do I plug in my phone charger and laptop for work. NOT good experience.

We received baked potato's that had been kept warm for several days. The skin was old and wrinkled, the inside of the skin was was a black charred colour and it tasted foul. Even the waitress said she wouldn't eat it. When i made my complaint to the duty manager i noticed 2 girls making a complaint as well. There were no problems any where else, i will not be using that hotel again.
