I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Wiesler, but it was undergoing construction/renovation and at times it was quite noisy, even as early as 7:00 a.m. so it wasn't as restful as I had hoped. My room was a non-smoking room and smelled very stale. The furnishings seemed a little dingy, though clean enough. I would have liked to have had a small breakfast instead of the huge buffet. I'm not sure if it was even an option. I also couldn't access the internet in my room even though I was told there was free wifi throughout the hotel. The location was just across the river from the main part of town, so very convenient and withing walking distance to a number of sites.

Lovely large warm and clean room with all facilities. Comfortable bed, good breakfast.

The hotel is currently under exterior rennovation and this needs to be done to to match the beautiful interior of the hotel. The view from our window was not great and showed us the work that needs to be done,but we were pleased with the room size and facilities. The staff were excellent and almost all spoke good English. The breakfast in the Grand Cafe was a delight, and the hotels position in the centre of Graz enables you to either take a stroll through the city or use the terrific tram system to go further.Graz has a very complicated one way system so if you arrive by car I would suggest you leave it at their garage and use the local transport.

We stayed here overnight on our way to Lake Bled Slovenia. It’s a beautiful quaint town and well worth the time to visit. It’s the only 5 star hotel in town. If driving it can be difficult to find as all the streets in Graz are all one-way.The building is a turn-of-the-century art nouveau gem, with beautiful mosaics hanging on the walls. Location – The Hotel Grand Wiesler is located in the heart of the historic town centre, beside the Kunsthaus and the island in the Mur . Its just a five minute walk into the Old Town across the bridge and into the main square. Rooms – Our room 322 was spacious and extremely comfortable. Our room consisted of two double beds joined together to make one huge King Size bed. A table, two chairs, plaza TV, mini bar, reading lights, air conditioning, high-speed internet connection and safe were also supplied. Note - this is not your luxury 5 star hotel but an elegant time piece.
