Doubletree By Hilton Dunblane Hydro Hotel Guest Reviews
My husband and I recently traveled to Dunblane to stay in the Dunblane Hydro, and we weren't disappointed by our experience at all! The hotel was in a great location--only 15 minutes from Stirling Castle and the William Wallace Monument, and less than an hour from Loch Lomand and the Trossachs. We used the hotel as a base to go out sightseeing, and everything was well within our reach--Doune Castle (for those Monty Python and the Holy Grail fans) is 5 minutes away, the Dunblane Cathedral is 2 minutes from the hotel, and Castle Campbell is also a short drive. The staff at the Dunblane Hydro was incredibly warm. There were several conferences taking place while we were there, but the staff took the large amount of people in stride. Everyone--from the concierge to the bartenders to the maintenance staff--was friendly, warm and willing to help! The hotel looks like it was recently remodeled and has the feel of an upscale lodge/ Highlands retreat with tartan chairs, dark walls and sparkling chandeliers. Our room was a standard double, and was quite spacious. We were happy to come home to the comfy bed and warm chocolate chip-walnut cookies after our days of sightseeing!

A lovely hotel and the rooms were very comfortable.staff very helpful and prompt.we didnt have a tv remote and there was someone there within 10 minutes sorting this out.breakfast on both mornings was lovely though on the Sunday it was very busy and people were lined up the hallway waiting.(this may just be because there was a big wedding on the previous day)

Having booked this hotel for a surprise for my husband i was very pleased to see a fabulous hotel which certainly has the wow factor!!On meeting the staff they were very welcoming and accomodating after a mix up with our booking which was nothing to do with the hotel but through an outside agency, they were extremely professional and made us feel at ease whilst they resolved this issue. There was also a mix up of the room size i had booked and this was resolved very quickly by extremely friendly staff. The dining area is outstanding and the breakfast was 1st class. The only downside to this hotel is the leisure facilities are outwith the main hotel and given our weather in Scotland, it was very cold when going to and from the pool. However I would certainly return to this hotel in the future and would also recommend this to my family and friends. Thank you to all staff who made our stay very memorable for all the right reasons.

We have stayed in this hotel before and was impressed hence why we returned however it was slightly more disaappointing this time. The hotel is under refurbishment and this is bound to make a difference. To give them their due there was no disturbance and you were unaware of the work in progress. The hotel wasn't as clean as it was before and to our disappointment there was an unpleasant stain on the top cover of the bed. There was no contact number available in the room for the reception area. The suite was lovely and impressive however the whirlpool bath was more like a sit in tub as it was very small..great shower. The evening menu was of a poor choice. We had supreme chicken and it was very liitle chicken on a bone. The leisure facilities are very small and the changing area is not the best. We only stayed one night and we had and enjoyable stay regardless
