It was not a bad deal, but it wasn't FABULOUS even for the price. Compared to the other "deals" in Las Vegas, it was average. My last night I stayed at the Palazzo, and for $30 more...that was a WOW!!! And Im only talking about the room. But the Golden Nugget was a nice room to sleep in. It was okay. Had a rude experience with one of the waitresses in the Casino, but the rest of the staff was pleasant. I would recommend it to a friend if they want to stay Downtown and just need somewhere to sleep.

THe Golden Nugget is a very nice hotel that is centrally located in downtown Las Vegas. Perfect for walking to all the other casinos downtown. The buffet has very good food and atmosphere, also has a reasonable price. Free parking in ramp when you are a guest.

I have stayed at the Golden Nugget many times over the years, and they always manage to provide excellent service, clean rooms and affordable prices. The food in their restaurants is very good.

This property is nicely maintained. We had a slow draining sink in our room. They came twice and corrected it on the second try. Very nice people and they respond promptly. The buffet is terrific!!! We had breakfast and lunch there. Otherwise, we visited three other hotel properties to sample their buffets and they were excellent, also. The pool was closed as the crews were doing MAJOR work on it. It was very cool in the evenings but sunny and warmer during the day. We will return...it is definitely a FINE place to stay. We had to eat at In-N-Out Burger while in Las Vegas.

The only item left out is coffee in the am. I did request a coffee pot and got one with a $50 deposit, no problem. However the coffee was an additional $10.00 per day. Other hotels we've used do not charge for the daily coffee or pot.
