Merith House Hotel Edinburgh Guest Reviews
We booked a triple room but got a large family room :) The room and shower were clean but need DIY as the decor is dated. The wall mounted tv is not visible from 3 of the 5 beds and too small for the size of the room. The shower takes time to get hot and the pressure keeps dropping. The temperature keeps changing. The room needs more sockets. We needed 3 for our charger and for the baby monitor, and none were available for the kettle. There is only one bedside lamp for 4 beds, insufficient in our eyes and according to VisitScotland standards. Breakfast is basic: cereal, orange juice, tea/coffee, toast, butter, jam and croissants. I like cooked breakfast when staying in a hotel and for tourists this is something to look forward to as it is typical for the UK. Shame that it was not available. The staff in the hotel was very friendly. On departure we learned that they had taken over management 4 wks earlier and had a list of things they wanted and needed to do. I wish them all the best.

We stayed a night here recently; 3 adults and one infant. The staff were extremly friendly and helpful, providing information on transport and local sites. The room was very spacious and comfortable.
