I liked this hotel a lot. I stayed with a friend, and we were on the go most of our time. All we wanted was a place that was centrally located, good quality for the price, and had a helpful and reliable staff. This place nailed it. Free internet was hugely helpful. The breakfast, while not free, was delicious. But in Barcelona, your options are many for dining! The neighborhood gets a little crazy, but the hotel is quiet and calm and cool.

Overall the hotel is a good one, but for a 4 star rating it leaves something to hope for. Rooms are small and not very well equipped: - triplex room: 1 twinbed and a couch (which isn't very comfortable to sleep in) - no space/furniture for keeping one's clothes - no water kettle for making morning coffee etc. - no iron nor trouser press in room Restaurant service is good, although some waiters were not very proffessional. Breakfast extremely expensive (17 eur/person, not included in room price). Location excellent!

Layout of room was unusual but excellent view of Plaza Catalunya. Would have liked a bath but terrific shower. Too used to tea/coffee facilities in British hotels... missed it. Otherwise a perfect location.
