Philippos Hotel Athens Guest Reviews
Very good location - just over 5 mins walk to the Acropoli metro station and between 20 to 30 mins walk to the Acropolis itself. We booked a double room but were allocated a room with twin beds. On the 2nd day when a double was available we were surprised to discover that it was smaller than the twin room which we thought was not possible as the twin was failry small. The bathroom had to be one of smallest I've ever seen and the double's bathroom was the same size so I guess this could be the same throughout the hotel. Breakfast was nice but did not change once in the week whilst we were there. The staff were all friendly and helpful. For the money it was ok not great but I think this is more a reflection of Greek standards not the Philippos directly.

Good hotel in good location for Acropolis. Easy access to supermarket, ATM nearby. Good basic breakfast.

The staff were very helpful and always very cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble and went out of their way to help us.

There was a building site next door to hotel, with loud drilling and hammering from 7 o'clock in the morning. Staff weren't very friendly and seemed annoyed when we wanted another room. The buffet breakfast at 15 euro per person was way to dear for what you got. The rooms were pretty small. The hotel was in a good location in a nice street.
