Renaissance Hotel Amsterdam Guest Reviews
Staff friendly, hotel overall clean, but air con noisy. Moreover, if compared to Crowne Plaza Amsterdam which was just same distance to Central Station, I would no doubt recommend Crowne Plaza as Renaissance Hotel Amsterdam charged me too high but the room was too small for even an Asian couple. Such room size shouldn't accommodate a king-size bed, to be frank. I had 2 stays in Amsterdam during this visit, and, no second thought, I would recommend Crowne Plaza.

This hotel is very well located, a few minutes fron Central Station. This puts it an ideal location for all transport. Breakfast was quite expensive, with a minimum buffet cost of €22 for not much more than bread and jam. However there are plenty of cheap alternatives nearby. The rate through HotelClub was quite good but resulted in one of the worst room outlooks I have ever had. I guess that you don,t get something for nothing.

The hotel is located very near central train station and is very convenient. We were very upset when we checked in, we were given a very small room. The staff from "delighted to serve" office claimed that it is the last available room and refused to do anything. When we told her that in fact our booking is confirmed for triple and a much a bigger room, she reluctantly looked for another room and again claimed that it was the last available room. We were really surprise at her attitude. As the next day, when we requested for late check out, another staff from the same office was really helpful and pleasant. Another thing is the hotel has no swimming pool though it is a 5 star hotel.

Great hotel, modern inside and in a good location. Wonderful, comfortable bed with all white linen and coverings which is something I prefer. We stayed at the hotel before and after a cruise and on both occasions we were able to access the room early. Self serve coffee machine, in the mornings, was also a plus.

We were upgraded on arrival to a large king room with a double sofa bed, very helpful as we were 3 guys on a stag party! The room was very clean and the king bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The bathroom was fine could have done with a better shower but all was forgiven by the fantastic breakfast. We had room service so I don't know what the resturant is like. Great location, great service, good food, highly recommend!
