Saint George Lycabettus Hotel Athens Guest Reviews
Planning my next trip back to Athens already, I am seriously considering staying at the Lycabettus Saint George again. The hotel is situated in a peaceful area close to the center of Athens, and it is for shure meeting the demands of the business traveller as well as the tourist wanting a little extra. The atmosphere was international and still with a greek touch that I liked a lot. It is worth noticing though that the distance to the nearest Metro station (Evangelismos) is a fairly long walk and with some difference in street level. The staff at the reception was handling everything in a professional and efficient way - both in greek and in fluent english. All was serviceminded and any question was solved without any delay. The room was clean and spacious and with a small balcony, and everything was functional and to the expected standard. Breakfast was not included in the room price, but fairly expensive to take in the rooftop restaurant. Nevertheless, the view over Athens from there to me was compensating richly for this. The fairly high price level was also to be seen for the minibar and the internet connection, but all functioning well. The specifications on the different kinds of rooms was an is a little unclear. It could be a good idea to call the reception and to ask if you want to be shure of e.g. the view or the size. To summon, I will give my best recommandation to the Lycabettus Saint George. Definately value for money.

The hotel was nice I liked the location it was not in the middle of eveything but in walking distance of what you needed. Up a hill if you don't like hills stay away! Recomended a great place to eat the first night amazing food. Only down fall was there was no air in the room only heat so the room was horable to sleep in if we did not leave the window open at night and that was not always helpfull. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel it was 22 euro per person but we were able to get food near the hotel. Over all if I stayed again I would pay for the room with a view not a court yard room. Walls were thin but I find most hotels in Europe are like that

The temperature of the hotel room was very hot ( their system was still operating on the heating system, they had not yet started to operate the AC cooling system as they were judging that the season was not yet warm enough - although the outside temperature was 24 °C and inside teh rooms were very warm .. The swiming pool was still empty ( 17 th April ) althoug weather was warm . The hotel refused to service the breakfast on the terrasse of the breakfast level (6 th floor ), terrasse that has a great view on the city .Only breakfast inside !! So, no swimming pool , no terrasse breakfast = no good value for our money .

Super luxury location in Athens - Bad service:we asked for a toothpaste and they told us it was exhausted!Plus, they asked us to pay a a "ghost"bill for the mini-bar!Is this really a 5-star hotel?
