Senator Hotel Vienna Guest Reviews
Very nice hotel, clean, very pleasant and friendly staff (mostly young immigrants), rates incredibly affordable, but where you pay is the distance from the center of Vienna. On the way from the center to the hotel I thought I crossed the border and went into a different country! However, I would still recommend it, especially to those for whom transportation is not an issue.

BEAUTIFUL, almost a designer hotel, in the middle of the real non-tourist Vienna. Takes about 15 mins on tram 43 to get to Shottentor on the ring and all the tourist hotspots. Hotel is very nice: room design, very comfortable beds (that still slide apart), everything seemed quite new. Breakfast not excellent, though if you like boiled eggs and cheese, you might like it. Internet is 3 euro per hour, however, there are two brand new MACs in the lobby with free high-speed internet for your use. Another advantage of this hotel is that because of its rather remote location to the tourist center, you get to go the neighborhood restaurant and bars without the tourist mark-up, and also the food was much better than in the center. Do not order taxi directly from the hotel as they have a deal with a taxi company that sends minibuses, even if there are only 2 of you, and charges accordingly.
