Location
The Sonne is situated next to the main road to Grindlewald, ideal for those with their own car to explore the area. The other attractions such as the Jungfraujoch and Schilthorn can be accessed via the chairlifts and rail system which are close by.
Rooms
The Sonne's twenty four en suite rooms are clean and comfortable. All rooms feature colour TV, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities. Rooms with balconies are also available.
Restaurant
The hotel's restaurant follows on the traditional Swiss theme with wooden tables and chairs, and offers guests a large choice of dishes with home made cheeses and seasonal produce, a vegetarian menu is also available.
General
The Sonne Hotel is a great choice for visitors who enjoy an active holiday. Its position just outside the centre of the city means the hotel has a relaxed feel and good views. The hotel also offers its guests ample parking, terrace, and comfortable seating area.

Sonne Hotel Interlaken Guest Reviews
I would not recommend this hotel. This is a family run hotel. They were not friendly at all and we were not really made to feel welcome. There was tea, milk and a kettle provided in the room, however after the first night, these were not replenished. When I asked for some more tea bags and milk the following nights, I was told that this was not normally provided and what we got the first night was just a starter kit. I could go on but frankly don't want to waste my time. My advice is choose an alternative hotel to this one.

Surprised that the hotel office is closed until 5pm each day. When we arrived at about 3.30pm we had to find our way around locally with our car still loaded & no local maps

Room is not bright enough. A bit too far to walk from town centre, infrequent bus service to hotel, no bus from town after 8pm. A good choice of restaurant nearby though.

A hotel with average price in that area. No surprise price even book through hotel club internet service. A bit disappointing and no point to book through internet......
