++ Cleanliness & Size of Rooms -- long walk from parking garage to room very taggy interior design

I love the location its on the strip but yet out the way of the hustle and bustle but not far from the action.

It has been our second stay at South Point in two years. We love that the hotel is relatively new and the rooms look like we are the first guests. The choice of amenities is amazing: a Century cinema with extra large screens, bowling, bingo hall, restaurants, spa, an outdoor pool ("slightly heated", as a clerk described it) with a large jacuzzi; we had everything we wanted to not even leave the hotel. I would only like to have more choice of slightly more upscale restaurants, like those in Mandalay Bay. The value for the money (I believe the base room rate is $41) is incredible. Location: it is about 15 minutes drive from Downtown. The hotel has a shuttle service, but I would recommend to rent a car. Parking is free. The benefit of staying away from the Strip is the quietness at night, plenty parking available, and the amenities are not as crowded as in the mainstream hotels. The best part about South Point is that the building is very recent. Everything inside is maintained as if it was built yesterday. And it is very cheap to stay and entertain yourself.

We stopped over at Los Vegas on our return home from Spain and were tired and anxious to relax and get some sleep. The room was nice for the price. The restruant was reasonably price with good food and service. Two issues we did not like were the long walk through the smoke filled casino to get to the hotel rooms and the offer of free shuttle was misleading. We arrived at 8pm but shuttle not available until 9:30pm. We paid $30 for a cab. We will not stay there again!
