Thistle Euston Hotel Guest Reviews
The hotel and its staff was fantastic. However your online reservation system of hotels needs serious improvement. Apparently your online reservation company did not send my reservation to the hotel and when I arrived the hotel staff did not find the reservation and they checked their computers up and down, the staff went out of their way to help me figure out what went wrong with the reservation, offered me juice and to stay in the lobby while trying to access my reservation online. After I was unable to access my reservation and thought that perhaps something went wrong with the your company online process, the hotel staff called and google-searched all surronding hotels trying to find me a vacancy. After I called your company help line they put me on hold for a long time and since I was on an international call, I think I will have a big charge from my cell phone company.

Convenient Location if looking for a place to stay close to Euston Station.

Great location. A problem that you have to pay for wifi access - in comparable hotels in Sweden it is free. Also an issue that in the middle of summer having only quilts as bedcovering can make it rather hot at night.

Relatively clean and staff generally friendly. Single room was rather small but all basic amenities - tea/coffee making facility, iron/ironing board, trouser presser, flat screen TV, wifi access (via BT Openzone), etc - were available. Very accessible location (near Euston station yet area does not look dodgy), and with a reasonable view from my bedroom (ie, not facing a brick wall or some dumping ground). However, there was not enough towels to use (1 bath towel, 1 hand towel) which was not helpful if you take shower twice a day (there was no dry rail to use), and the shower gel was not replinished (despite the container showed it was almost empty). On the whole, this room/hotel is a lot better than others in the price category.
