Travelodge Hotel Southbank Melbourne Guest Reviews
The hotel was in the heart of the city and if you use the skybus services, then they drop you and pick you up right from the hotel doorstep. The bathroom was in a dire need of refurbishing but the room was excellent with great views into the city and a stone throws away from the trams, flinder station, federation square, south gate etc. However, the reception staff definitely needs training to handle customers as you get the feel that you are not a customer but that you owe the receptionist money. Apart from that, great hotel and great place to be.

Most of the staff were very friendly, however, we were given incorrect info about bus services and which tour to take for a long day trip. In future we will make sure to go to the information centre first. We loved the location in Southbank. The room was ok but could have been larger to accommodate suitcases etc. The bathroom would be better if a fan was installed. I would only come back if staying for a day or two.

As per usual all was great. Only down fall on this trip was there was no place to get a quick bottle of bubbly for celebrating. Need to take your own. Otherwise, perfect for the Southbank and casino area. Also parking was halved when staying at the Travel Lodge, Friends stayed across the river, a little cheaper for the room, but four times more for parking, We will be back on our next celebration.

Great location!!! Couldn't have asked for better. Everything was only a short stroll away - Fed square, Flinders St Station, Crown and Shopping just to name a few. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Queen room was clean and well set out. Buffet breakfast was nice, a good variety to choose from.
