Some of the restaurants around the area are famous for late night feast. Tourists can go out for dinner as late as (or as early as) 4am in the morning. Korean House, Moon Villa, New Golden Gate are some of the famous restaurants in Boston. A walk down the streets at any time of the day tempts the visitors with aromas of food in the air, roast ducks hanging and aquariums filled with live seafood for later use. These restaurants have a huge variety of dishes to offer. To beat the cold, go for hot pot. It’s a huge vessel in which raw meat and seafood is cooked and people gather around it to eat. Dim Sum is another good option and can be had at anytime of the day. Served directly from stacks of bamboo containers atop wheeled carts, and accompanied by green tea, the steamed or fried mouth-sized dumpling with variety of fillings makes it an appetizing meal. After the main course, some of the restaurants serve fortune cookies, ice cream or sherbet as dessert.
In addition to familiar cuisines like Korean, Thai and Vietnamese, new Asian fusion cafes and restaurants too are emerging to catch the fancy of youngsters, which serves a wide variety of cuisines, snacks, drinks and tea. Some of these spots serve a mix of Shanghainese noodles and dumplings, Cantonese snacks and appetizers, Malaysian barbeque dishes, Japanese salads and Vietnamese spring rolls.
A must see is a three-story red-and-gilt monolith which is guarded by four Fu dogs at the intersection of Hudson and Beach streets. It was a gift from Taiwan in honor of Chinatown's centennial. As Boston Chinatown is located in the downtown it is well connected by public transportation and also has many hotels nearby. Some of the hotels are Hyatt Regency Boston, Sheraton Hotel Boston, Jurys Hotel Boston, and Colonnade Hotel Boston. As there is a huge selection of hotels getting a cheap hotel deal should not be a problem in Boston.
